His children dead and the Quentin Carnival destroyed, John Blaze's life has once more been thrown into turmoil. Forced once again to serve as the human host for the demon Zarathos, he is cursed to a life of misery and isolation, wandering the roads as the Ghost Rider.

After crossing Mephisto, the demon Zarathos was forced into a union with Johnny Blaze, becoming the first Ghost Rider. Now, years later, Zarathos has been once again bonded to Blaze, resuming the role of the Spirit of Vengeance. With no memory of his past, the demon is cursed by Blaze's morality to bring destruction and chaos only to the guilty.
