Just as life became comfortable and he was content with the way things were, he received the heart wrenching news of Marlene's murder. His life now turned upside down as he has become the sole guardian of his daughter: Amanda.

The eleven year old daughter of Marc is unsure what to make of her situation. She only barely remembers her father and her mother almost never spoke of him. Most of what she knows of him comes from pictures Marlene didn't destroy and small stories here and there that Amanda was able to force out of her mother. Brought up by Marlene in Seattle Washington, as far away from Marc as possible. Amanda's young life is on its head; with her mother murdered by a mugger, and then quickly picked up and moved cross country she's had little time to adjust to her new relationship with the father she knew once upon a time.
